TGIF!

Hip Hip Hooray, It's Friday!

Not only is it Friday but it's my last day of work for a couple of months. That's right I officially start my maternity leave Monday. I am sure I will miss the routine of having somewhere to be everyday but I am also sure I will survive without it. :)

My grandma flys in tomorrow afternoon and will be staying with me till mid June so I will have company for a few weeks. I am hoping that Trigg makes his debut sometime this weekend or next week.

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend! Those of you in NWA, enjoy even more b/c the weather is suppose to be really nice this weekend for a change :)

Cuties

This is a picture of my two nieces, Jacklyn & Jaden, from the memorial weekend. I just love them so much and they are the prettiest two girls! Of course I am a bit bias :)

Just thought I would share!

38 Weeks!

Trigg is still not ready to make his debut b/c here I am at 38 weeks and I have not progressed since last week. Not even a little. The doctor said that I am still at a fingertip. I was really down to hear that I had not budged any from the week before but I understand that I am only 38 weeks, I technically still have two weeks to my due date and if my little guy is not ready yet then he's just not ready.

The doctor did say that a lot of women won't dilate until they go into labor, which is what happened with my aunt with her two girls. I also know that it can happy quickly, to go from nothing to labor. I am just hitting that cranky stage, I am tired of being pregnant and I am dying to hold my baby.

I have waited 9 months for him so I guess a few more days, weeks...won't hurt! :)
No pictures of me this week, I am not feeling picture-esch, if you know what I mean.

37 Weeks

Monday I went to the doctor and had my 37 week check-up and I was happy to hear I had made some progress. I was dilated a fingertip (:) hehe) and effaced 50%. Trigg's heart beat was strong and doc says he is not a big baby at all. That was a relief. He said to continue to walk and I should be on my way...Actually his exact quote was "If you have tightness in your belly, it hurts, it's 5 minutes apart for 1 hour or you have water running down your leg and filling up your shoes then that's when you know it's real, it's labor and it's time to come to the hospital." Funny man!

Sorry for the up close shot but no one around to take my picture and my arms arn't that long :) hehe

I want him to hold out until next Saturday at least, that way I will have finished my work and started my maternity leave, plus my Grandma will fly in on the 30th and I really want her to be here for his arrival.

I go back to the doctor on Tuesday, since Monday is a holiday, so we shall see how much more progress we have made then. For now I am going to enjoy this long holiday weekend coming up and the beautiful weather we have!

I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend and stay safe!

More Prayer Needed

Saturday morning a co-worker and good friend died suddenly from an aortic aneurysm. He was only 43 years old. He was the twin brother of one of our company's owners as well as our company accountant. He was a big teddy bear. Sweet, kind, always thinking of others and he was a personal favorite person of mine. He will be missed deeply. I ask that you keep his family as well as his work family in your prayers. It is always tragic to lose someone, especially when you don't get to say goodbye.

Then on Sunday Kaid's mom, Valerie, called to inform me that her MIL, Charis is very sick and they are not sure what happened or why. She is in critical condition. Charis is such a wonderful lady. I have the pleasure of knowing her and since Valerie and Tim have been together she has been such a great grandma to Kaid. He loves her very much. We consider Charis a part of our little mixed family and I ask that my blog buddies pray for our family and for theirs. Every little prayer will help bring her back to good health. Visit Valerie's blog to get more info. http://arkansasdoyle.blogspot.com/

I got this picture off Valerie's blog. This is Charis with Kaid & Kaid's brother Brighton.

Please pray for my friends & family!
Thanks.

Pictures say what?

I have been trying to grow my hair out for a long time but every time I get to my shoulders I just can't take it anymore and have to chop it off. I have thin hair so when it's long it's just stringy and blah. I usually keep it dark as well, like a dark chocolate color but since I have been pregnant and have been unable to tan, that color would just wash me out more than I am so it is this same boring brown. I wanted to do something different so I just had it cut short, again, and then I will go back at the end of June when I am nice and tan again and have it colored. I think it is really cute but now I wish I would have had my stylist cut it a bit shorter and with some layers. Guess I can wait another month for that. :)

Now I am not sure what the deal is but the last 1-2 years I have been losing my photogenicness (is that a word?). I used to love the way I looked in pictures but gradually they have gotten worse. I would blame it on the camera being used but I know it's not that. I am really getting upset about this. I feel like photos capture your real essence and really reveal a lot about the person in them...I am not liking what my camera is revealing about me!

I look back on past photos and see a completely different person. Then it hits me...I am a completely different person, I am older, life has had more time to grip it's claws into me and it shows. It also got me thinking about why I look the way I do. That I really need to stop worrying about every little detail and wearing the weight of the world on my shoulders. I need to start having fun again instead of being a party pooper. This life style that I have subjected myself to is starting to show in my face, my hands, my skin, and in my soul. I am only 27 yrs old, why do I feel and act like I am 50?

Photos sure say alot for not saying anything at all.

36 weeks and can I get a Hallelujah?

I am a bit behind on this weeks post of my pregnancy update! I have been busy at work and just so tired at home to post but I needed to get this in before the week was gone.

Here I am at 36 weeks!

Doctor visit was on Monday, which was also the visit that starts my exams, and well I was not dilated. I figured I wouldn't be anyway but I was hoping. :) Trigg needs to drop a bit more in order for things to get going, his heart beat was super strong and loud. I was happy to hear it actually sound like a heart beat and not just a fluttering sound. My cervix is starting to soften so that is nice to know some progress is happening with him coming. My weight is staying steady at 25 lbs! So the doctor said get out there and start walking everyday so that I can help him drop and move things along. This I have been doing b/c lord knows I am anxious to see my little man. I go back on Monday and I am going hoping he has dropped and I am at least dilated to a 1, even a half would be OK with me!

Now for the Hallelujah part of my post....Ryan has been released to full duty and can return to work. He can do all his normal activities and his bones are just about healed! HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just love that things are going to get back to normal now, just in time for Trigg! I am a woman of routine and consistency, especially when it comes to work and money!

Pray

One of my good friends, Erin, found out last week that her father has prostate cancer. The cancer is in the early stages so the odds are in his favor at the moment, which is good, that they may be able to treat and kill this before it gets any worse. The only bad thing is that they can not start treatment for 8 weeks because his biopsy has to have time to heal. So hopefully the cancer will not progress much, if any, in the next 8 weeks. He does not have to have kemo, just radiation so they are happy about that. He is a new grandpa to two babies. Erin & her brother both just had babies. Erin's grandfather dies 5 years ago due to prostate cancer so her father is terrified of the end result, since he watched his father go through this.

I ask that all my blog friends say a little prayer for Erin and her family and keep them in your thoughts. They need all the help they can get right now. I appreciate every one's support!

Fish Fry, Poker & 35 weeks

Ryan has not been working very much the past week or so because of all this rain that has moved into NWA. With him having so much free time he has been fishing almost everyday. The fish are spawning right now, this according to my hubby, and so he has caught a lot of fish. We love fish but we had so many filets that we couldn't eat all of it on our own so we decided to have a fish fry with our friends.

After dinner the kids were playing in Kaid's room, then started watching Underdog and so the adults started a game of poker. We are poker playing fools. Our group of friends usually play poker about once a week but this has been put on hold for the last year b/c everyone has been so busy or broke. :) It was nice to do something we used to do all the time. We all really enjoyed ourselves!

Later that night Ryan and I were getting ready for bed and our dogs apparently thought there was a boogie man under the bed. We walked around the corner of the bed and all we see is our dogs rear ends sticking up of from under the bed. It was so funny.

Thanks puppies for checking for monster's before bedtime!

Last but not least, today I have hit 35 weeks. I am so excited each week I get closer to seeing my baby boy. I start my weekly exams on Monday the 11th! I hope I am dilated a bit so this labor gets on it's way b/c I am ready for him to come out but only if he's done cooking.
