Has it only been 2 weeks...

Now that I have a newborn my time for blogging has almost disappeared. I am typing this as Trigg lays asleep on my chest, with one hand b/c the other hand is holding his! I love this little one so much and I love how much he loves me and needs me too.

Well the last two weeks have gone by slow and fast, if that can even be. I have only been out of the house 3 times b/c well its insanely hot, I can't lift anything heavier than Trigg, and I have been really tired so just hanging out and getting a routine down has been just fine with us. Kaid has been here on his summer visit so we have been spending quality time.

Today is Kaid's 7th b-day, Happy B-day! We love you!
Enjoy some pics of what we have been up too...

Trigg Edward Peck- Sweet Baby Boy!

Hi everyone, sorry it has taken me so long to post about my new son but Trigg and I had quite the experiance and things didn't go as planned. I went in on Thursday morning for my inducement at 5:30am. Everything was going good, got my epidural around 7:30am and was feeling no pain at all. I was progressing good in the morning and my water broke around 11:45am, but after that things started to slow down. My nurse kept saying that if things don't progress soon then it was c-section time. Well I did not want to go that way but if is how it goes then as long as I get to see my son soon I didn't care. Well at my 2:45 check, I had only dialated to a 4 and he was still floating a bit, at this point the nurse kept reaching in and trying to help things along, she stopped for the doctor to come in and take her peek and as soon as the doctor did her check, everything just went crazy. She starting yelling she had cord and yelling c-section stat, and next thing I know I am being swept down the hall with my doctor trying to hold the cord inside of me. I had never been so scared in my life, I was scared for Trigg and myself, plus my family and Ryan were in the hall and they had no idea what was happening b/c it literally happened at the speed of light. So they get me into the OR and put me under and then next thing I know I wake up an hour later in the recovery room. First thing I said was my baby, Where is he? How is he? They said that he was perfect and waiting to see me. He was born at 3:54pm on June 11th, 2009...weighing 7 lbs 5 oz, 20 inches long. Perfect! I am doing good too. I will have a bit harder recovery b/c of the c-section but everyday is better than the last.

Ryan got to spend the whole time in the nursery with Trigg helping them get him cleaned and ready. I am so greatful that I had the doctor and nurses I had b/c we both came out of this great and I owe it to my wonderful team at Willow Creek. I also owe it to my family and friends for all their support through this.

Mandy I just want to say thank you for all you did. You are truly a great, great friend and I am so lucky to know you. Trigg is so excited to see you guys and his new buddies Tayson & Tristin.

To Ryan my amazing, amazing husband. I have never been more happy to be your wife, you have done so much for our family and I couldn't have asked for more. I love you so much.

Kaid, I am so glad that you have a new brother to show the ropes too. You will be an amazing big brother and Trigg already loves you just as much as your daddy and I do. Congrats on having another little brother in your life.

Val & Tim & Brighton, thanks so much to you guys too! All you do is so much apprecaiated and I am so glad that we all have the relationship we do to make this possible and positive!

To Trigg, I love you more every minute I spend with you. I thank God that he gave you to me and delivered you safely, even if it was ideal for us both. Mommy & Daddy love you and can't wait to watch our family grow!

Enjoy a few pictures of our sweet boy! I will try to post more but hang with me b/c the next few weeks will be lots of recovery, sleeping, and enjoying my little man!

Light at the end of the Tunnel

Today I am 40 weeks and still pregnant! Starting to wonder that maybe my uterus is a pretty comfy place to be :) hehe

Went to the doctor this morning and am finally dilated to a 1 1/2 which was good news because they were able to schedule me for an inducement. If I had stayed the same as last week then it would have been Sunday night before they could have done the inducement. So...drum roll...Thursday at 5:30am I will be being hooked up to some good old fashioned potassium and the labor pains will begin. I am not thrilled that Trigg is going to have to have help coming out but I am so ready to see my little man. There is still 2 1/2 days till Thursday so he still has a chance to make it on his own.

I do ask for some thoughts and prayers since I am being induced. I ask for a smooth and short labor. Amen! :)

Who's popping? Not me...

Yeah it's Friday again! Nothing new with me, Trigg is still hibernating. I am ok with it because I know that within the week, naturally or with help, I will have my baby.

On a different, Ryan's grandma in New York had a very serious surgery on Wednesday. She has diabetes and had to either have a new vein put in her leg to increase circulation or have her foot removed b/c of the infection. She chose the new vein, but with her age and health problems the surgery was risky. Well I am happy to report that she did great in the surgery and only had to stay one day in ICU. She is doing very good and the new vein in her leg is working charms already. Ryan's mother, Mindy, flew up to New York to be with her mom during this and will be home on Sunday. I think Trigg is waiting for his Gi-Gi to come back before he makes his debut. I think he knows how bad she wants to be here so he is waiting on her. :) Isn't that sweet! hehe

Well I have nothing else exciting to report because well this time off work is not as glamorous as it sounds, at least not when you are on a budget and 9 months pregnant!

Kaid has a t-ball game tonight so I will get a bit of excitement in my Friday, I will keep everyone posted on my little man's appearance.

Have a great weekend!

Update

I have not progressed at all! That's right you heard me, NOTHING! I am 39 weeks and still dilated a fingertip and he is still to high. I was floored, I could not believe what I was hearing. I have been pretty upset, or disappointed, since my appointment. I was really hoping to be at least a 1 or 1 1/2.

The doc said that I should expect to be pregnant for about another week and at my doctor's appointment on Monday if he was not here yet then they would schedule my appointment for inducement. So either way I can expect him to be here by end of next week.

Well I am going to leave you with that b/c well that's all I have!
Have a good day!

39 weeks and still pregnant...

Trigg has yet to grace us with his presence. I am 39 weeks today and have my doctor's appointment tomorrow. I am anxiously awaiting his arrival but I understand that apparently he is not ready or as anxious as I am. :) I have had several of the "signs" that labor is "near" but those who have been pregnant know that it's just a big waiting game.

It is my first day off work and at home and I am already bored! :) hehe My grandma is here now and the company is nice but still I am wanting something to do. I guess I feel that I have spent the last few weeks just laying around on the weekends and week nights b/c I have finished all my projects so now that I can actually have the days to lay around I don't want to. If I could fit into any of my bathing suits I would go to the pool! :)

Well I guess I shouldn't complain to much b/c I don't want to upset my blog buddies who are at work. :)

I will keep you posted! Have a great day!
