4 months!

Trigg turned 4 months this past Sunday and I just can't believe how big he is getting! He weights 14lbs exactly and I am not sure on his height, his actual 4 month check up isn't till November (doc's office is a little busy). I weighted him myself the other day.

What he is doing:

-can rollover but rarely does
-can lift himself about a quarter inch from a laying or sitting position (like baby sit ups)
-coos and makes high pitch sounds like crazy
-starting to chuckle
-drooling like crazy
-eating 8oz now
-eating more like every 4-5 hrs
-sleeping through the night, except for the past two weeks...
-grabbing and pulling on everything in his reach
-putting anything he can in his mouth
-wearing 3-6 month clothes
-wearing size 1 shoe (some size 2's)
-loves to be held (for hours) :)
-is such a happy baby

By the way, I got one of my Christmas gifts from Ryan's parents early...I finally got the Canon Rebel EOS XLT Camera I have been wanting for a long time. I am testing it out to make sure it's what I want and I love it. I am hoping they let me go ahead and keep it and not make me wait till Christmas. :) The pictures are amazing...Trigg had a photo shoot last night. :)I love my in-laws, they are so good to me!

Something new...

Well I traded in my Honda for this 2010 Camry. We were looking for something cheaper in payments and also roomier on the inside. Believe it or not, the Camry has a lot more room than my CR-V had plus the ride and drive of the Camry is amazing!Zero road noise and its so comfortable I could fall asleep in the seats. We were surprised as anyone that going brand new would actually save us money but sure enough it did!









Don't mind Ryan's truck in the background it just has a dead battery...He was cleaning his truck out and left the key in the on position all night so the next morning it was dead, thank goodness his parents are on vacation and he can borrow his dad's hummer until his truck works again. MEN!

I miss my Honda but am really happy we bought the Camry!

Ryan took Trigg for an evening stroll and it was pretty chilly so my little guy had to get bundled up...He loves to be outside.

Catch up

Boy do I have lots to say since it's been like forever since I posted last but to spare the few readers I have I will keep this semi-short and just let you enjoy the pics!

My baby boy is 15 weeks old! I can't beleive how big he is getting. I am so happy to see him grow and love every new thing he learns but I miss him being my small newborn. Now I know why mom's have kids so close together...u miss the baby phase.

This is Trigg's first hair do! His hair is really thin so it's hard to style it right now but his daddy tried and this is what we got. I love these pictures.

This past Friday night Ryan and I took Kaid to eat at Shogun's (our faviorate resturant) while my in-laws watched Trigg. We wanted to spend some time with just Kaid. We had to take a family photo op before we left Ryan's parents though...


We had a really good time, and the food was so good, as usual.




Kaid was trying to use the chop sticks and it was so funny, it was taking him a long time to eat his rice that way, so he finally gave up and used his fork.

We finally got some new living room furniture. We got a sectional and a big over sized swival chair. It is so much nicer, now we have more seating in our living room than we did before.

A few weeks back Kaid participated in the Prairie Grove Clothsline Fair, he squared danced with his best friend, neighbor and class mate, Shayla. They were so cute.




Here's a random pic of Trigg enjoying his bouncer/walker. He is still a bit small for it but loves it for about 10 minutes. He knows that if you hit the animals that it will light up and play music. I have such a smart boy!



Well we have been super busy and it just gets busier so hopefully I can post more often and the post won't be so long!

Congestion, Stomach bug and then shots...

My poor baby!

Trigg had a small cold, congestion last weekend thru the week and then this past weekend came down with a stomach bug that left him throwing up his formula and having diarrhea. To top it all off, he finally starts to feel better and he went this morning for his 2 month check-up and had to have shots. He did not like those at all. It made me sick to my tummy to watch that. I guess you can say welcome to daycare...Kids always seem to be sicker when they are in daycare rather than at home or around a few kids. Just one of the few cons we will have to work through. He should be building up his immune system so hopefully in the future he can fight this nasty stuff better.

Other than him fighting off all these sickness's, he is doing great! He weighed in at 11 lbs 10 oz, 50th percentile, and he is 24 inches long (2 feet), 90th percentile! His development is right on track and he is a healthy young man other than the previous stated above. :)

Even though he feels like crap he still manages to smile! That's my baby boy!

Lost, but not found...

Here's the thing, no one told you that once you have a baby your brain becomes mush. I have probably lost all but a few of my brain cells. I am on my 4th week of being back to work and I am forgetting things left and right. I also was given 10 more responsibilities when I returned so I have no time to think about anything other than what I am doing but yet my brain is off in la-la land even for those tasks.

I am having the hardest time deciding on the look for my blog page. I have no idea why this is so difficult for me, maybe it' b/c I have lots of different taste's or maybe I just can't make a decision b/c of the previously stated brain mush syndrome.

I usually am on top of things, some may even say a little too on top of things at times but I just can't pull it together. I am all over the place these days. It seems like the only thing I can do right (thank goodness) is take care of my boys!

Which by the way:
Kaid started 2nd Grade today! He was nervous but excited. He has a different teacher (which we hope makes for a good year compared to last year), and a classroom full of his friends (which could be bad or good). Good luck on your 1st day back Kaid! I know you will do great. Trigg has mostly recovered from having a cold and fever all weekend. He is back to his self and I couldn't be happier. Hate when they are sick and you feel so helpless :(

8/11/2009- Two Months Old

My little man is two months old today! I can't believe it has been that long...
Trigg has changed so much since he was born.

What he is doing:

-smiles all the time :)
-cooing (talking) to us when he is really happy or excited
-sleeping on his side in his pack n play next to mommy's side of the bed b/c he doesn't like sleeping on his back
-eating 6 oz every 3-4 hrs
-burps so easy, most the time before you even pull him up into burp position
-obsessed with his tongue and anyone else's who wants to stick it out at him
-mimics your facial expressions
-loves bath time but hates to be cold :)
-bedtime is 9:30, sleeps till 2am, feeds, then sleeps till 6-7am
-wearing 0-3 months clothes but some things are still too big
-wears NB size shoes (still)
-loves to lay chest to chest and his bottom patted gently
-starting to suck his fingers and is discovering his hands
-likes to play on his back but not so much on his tummy
-can roll to one side but not all the way over
-loves, loves his bouncy seat as long as it is bouncing
-doesn't like the swing unless he's sleeping and doesn't know he's in it :)
-moves his legs back and forth all the time, like he is trying to walk off
-his cries are changing and he makes a pout face when he's upset or really hungry
-stays awake more during the day and fights his sleep
-takes a passe but not very often
-can hold his head up for almost a minute at a time before it bounces back down or back

and last but not least he loves his mommy, daddy & bubba very much!
We love him too!
